On Friday, July 7, 2023, Byung-koo Kang, Minister Counselor of Korean Embassy and Kyung-tak Kang, Director of KECDC visited FCPS to discuss the creation of a Korean Immersion program in the District's elementary schools. In attendance were former FCPS Board Member Il-Ryong Moon, FCPS Superintendent Dr. Michelle C. Reid, Fairfax City Superintendent Jeff Platenberg, Sloan Presidio FCPS Chief Academic Officer, and FCPS Assistant Superintendent Noel Klimenko.
